Greene’s in G’boro. Was a frosh in college and 2 or I’m 70% cool and 40% bad at math shirt of us went into town looking for a place to get a drink. Bartender was nice and explained it was a gay bar and we could stay if we wanted. We sat and had a drink and left w/ some new knowledge.

I was always aware I liked I’m 70% cool and 40% bad at math shirt but I was definitely too scared. I was sent to a therapist after my mom read my diary at 16 mentioning my concern for possibly being gay. After that I figured id do what was easiest on everyone and do what my family wanted. Horrible way to live but I’m extremely grateful I am open and free now.
