Hello thank you for accepting me into the group. When ever read this Poem I think of my dad whom I lost unexpectedly June 10th 2019 due to a massive heart attack. This poem says it all if I only had 5 more minutes with my dad I would have told him how much I appreciated him & how much I love him we still had a lot to do together I miss him dearly.

Not 100% certain, but I think Gump’s catcher is an old Cooper-Weeks Black Diamond Trapper. Cooper-Weeks one of the first to come out with factory manufactured catchers. Johnny Bower & others using them as well. Alternately, a lot of guys doing what Charlie did, taking a 1st basemans glove to a leather or even shoe-maker & getting a gauntlet added to it, with some manufacturers of pads like Kenesky offering that same service.
